  • In 2011, First SunAmerica Life Insurance Company merged into its SunAmerica Financial Group sister company, The United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York (US Life).

2010

  • Since 2002, First SunAmerica and Western National together have been the #1 provider of fixed annuities through financial institutions.*

2002

  • First SunAmerica began distributing fixed annuities in New York on behalf of Western National Life Insurance Company.

1997

  • In 1997, John Alden Life Insurance Company of New York merged with and into First SunAmerica Life Insurance Company.

1978 

  •  Same company, operating under different names, since 1978.
